# Donate to save the vaquita

Every donation goes to the Porpoise Conservation Society (Porpoise.org), a member of the ¡VIVA Vaquita! coalition. You give on Porpoise.org’s own site, so this site never sees your card details.

## Two ways to give

### Donate

A donation to Porpoise.org, with no adoption attached.

### Adopt a vaquita

A symbolic adoption, which you can also give as a gift. Porpoise.org sends you:

- a personalized, printable adoption certificate
- a vaquita species profile
- your name on its virtual recognition wall
- a donation receipt for income tax purposes

Both open give.porpoise.org in a new tab.

## Where the money goes

100% of every donation goes to Porpoise.org.

Canada · Porpoise.org

The only NGO in the world dedicated entirely to porpoises, working on all seven species and their habitats.

Porpoise.org is a member of ¡VIVA Vaquita!, a coalition of non-profit organizations from around the world whose scientists, educators and conservationists work together to draw attention to the vaquita, the world’s most endangered marine mammal.

The coalition’s members share its goals of raising awareness, carrying out research and education, and keeping the Upper Gulf of California healthy, so the vaquita can be saved in a way that also brings long-term benefits to the fishermen and residents around the Gulf.

## Who runs the event

Kasey Snow organizes Save The Vaquita Week, with support from Porpoise.org and the BC Marine Mammal Rescue Society, which receives no funds from the event. [More about who runs it](https://stvw-preview.laravel.cloud/save-the-vaquita-week#organizers).
